The BMW Clubs Canada Vancouver Island considers the privacy and security of our visitors to be of the utmost importance. This statement outlines our privacy practices and provides a full description of the information we may collect and what we do with that information. When you complete our contact or membership form, we require basic
information in order to contact you and answer your questions, or process
your membership. The three key pieces of information are you name, phone
number and your email address. Additional information is preferred, but
this is the minimum information required to be of service to you. We
attempt to make it as painless as possible by providing checkboxes for
various standard information requests. This information enables us to be
of better service to our membership and provide events in which they are
interested and will likely participate. We may also be collecting time and
date information, and potentially capture browser data, to ensure that our
web development supports existing standards adequately.
From time to time the Club may record events or meetings in the form of
photographs or videography for documentation and promotion of Club
activities. If you object to having your picture taken in any form, it is
incumbent upon you to make your wishes known to the photographer/videographer
and incumbent upon that individual to exclude you from any documentation.
Will we ever
disclose any of this personal information?
We will never disclose personal information individually. If we share any
information with our partners and affiliates, it will always be general
information from all of our users. We also ensure that all of our partners
sign confidentiality agreements to safeguard this information and so that
they must conform to our privacy practices.
